Celebrating the Legacy of Taekwon-Do: A Message on the Anniversary of its Foundation.
On this remarkable day, March 22nd, we honor the birth of Taekwon-Do, a martial art that has inspired and united millions worldwide. It was on this day in 1966 when the legendary Late Choi Hong Hi, the founder of Taekwon-Do, took the first steps toward creating a global community bound by respect, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence.
As the Official Representative of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) in Afghanistan, and on behalf of the All Afghanistan National Taekwon-Do Association ITF (NGB), we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our President H.E Grand Master Ri Yong Son, the Board of Directors of ITF, the President of the Asian Taekwon-Do Federation, the Secretary General, and every member of the ITF Taekwon-Do family around the world. Your dedication and commitment to the development of Taekwon-Do have paved the way for future generations, inspiring strength, unity, and perseverance.
Today, as we celebrate this special anniversary, we reflect not only on the history of Taekwon-Do but also on its ongoing journey one that continues to shape lives, communities, and nations. From the dojang to the global stage, Taekwon-Do has become more than just a martial art; it has become a way of life.
In Afghanistan, our Taekwon-Do community remains strong and determined. We proudly stand together, continuing to embrace the values of Taekwon-Do and uphold the legacy of our founder. Through each kick, each form, and each lesson, we honor the traditions passed down by our great masters. We strive to grow, to learn, and to inspire others, both within our country and across the world.
To all practitioners, instructors, and supporters of Taekwon-Do, may this day remind us of our shared journey and the incredible potential we have as a unified global family. Let us continue to carry the torch forward with pride, discipline, and respect for the art that binds us all.
