IRAN ITF “A New Dawn : Rising Stronger Than Ever!”
The 7th Congress of Iran ITF Taekwon-Do was held in the final days of 2024 in Tehran, where key decisions were made regarding the future leadership and administration of the organization. The congress convened with the presence of the majority of Board of Directors members, while two members, unable to attend, participated via proxy.
Master Hossein Farid Sabbagh, the Founder of Iran ITF Taekwon-Do, addressed the congress, emphasizing the necessity of electing a new president to guide the organization forward. He introduced Mr. Davoud Vartouri as a qualified candidate, encouraging congress members to place their trust in him through the voting process.
In his address, the Chairman of the Board of Directors acknowledged the challenges Iran ITF has faced over the years but reaffirmed that trust and unity remain the core values of the organization. Reflecting on the past year, he noted that the previous president had not met the expected standards and had failed to provide adequate responses during the impeachment meeting. Consequently, the Board of Directors had no choice but to vote for his dismissal. However, optimism remains high that the newly elected president will work diligently to address past shortcomings and advance the goals of Iran ITF in a timely manner.
Following his nomination, Mr. Davoud Vartouri delivered a brief speech outlining his plans to resolve existing issues and enhance the development of ITF Taekwon-Do across Iran.
Additionally, Dr. Ebrahim Ghasemi, a Board Member, highlighted the key priorities that must be addressed and outlined the Board of Directors’ expectations from the new leadership.
The voting process was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Chairman Mr. Hamidreza Madani, who oversaw the proceedings alongside two assisting members. Votes were counted and announced live, ensuring full transparency.

It is also noteworthy that several prestigious guests attended and witnessed the election, including representatives from the Iran Karate Federation, Iran Wrestling Federation, martial arts pioneers, and delegates from the insurance sector. Their presence highlighted the significance of this event and the growing recognition of Iran ITF Taekwon-Do within the broader sports community.
